Tokyo Metropolitan Government selects Investable Solutions for prestigious program

About SUTEAM

International Consortium Formed by Nozomi MedAlliance, TheraNova, and Global Expansion Solutions/Investable Solutions Selected for “TOKYO SUTEAM“.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “SUTEAM” (Startup Support Expansion Program with Diverse Stakeholders) is a leading initiative that connects organizations, universities, corporations, and venture capital firms to foster startup growth and innovation in Tokyo. This program focuses on deep tech startups, offering tailored support ranging from academia collaborations to commercialization and global expansion guidance.

The "Tokyo-Silicon Valley MedTech Launchpad"

An international consortium comprising Nozomi MedAlliance K.K. (Tokyo), TheraNova LLC (Silicon Valley), and Global Expansion Solutions / Investable Solutions (Silicon Valley, Seoul, Middle East) has been selected to participate in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s startup support initiative “TOKYO SUTEAM.” The consortium will launch the “Tokyo-Silicon Valley MedTech Launchpad,” connecting Japanese medical innovation with U.S. market opportunities.

The program addresses a critical gap: Japanese MedTech companies find it challenging to expand into the U.S. market, resulting in missed commercial opportunities, lower valuations and unattainable unicorn potential. The Tokyo-Silicon Valley MedTech Launchpad provides early-stage companies with structured support to validate technologies in U.S. markets during seed and Series A stages.

Running from November 2025 through April 2027, the program will support 20 medical device startups, including diagnostics, therapeutics, AI, and digital health across two cohorts of 10 companies each. The selected startups will participate in a two-stage acceleration process:

Stage 1 – expert mentoring on clinical data validation, product-market fit analysis, FDA regulatory pathways, intellectual property strategy, U.S. healthcare reimbursement, and venture capital preparation.

Stage 2 – top performers travel to California for hands-on business development: curated investor meetings with medical-focused VCs, partnership negotiations with hospital systems and medical device companies, FDA pre-submission processes, and pitch events before industry professionals.

The program delivers measurable outcomes through FDA pre-submissions, provisional patent filings, business partnerships, and acceptance into international acceleration programs.

In the age of generative AI, only true pioneers will have a competitive edge

Everyone is talking about ChatGPT, or the gazillion other generative AI tools that create content out of “thin air” using short prompts. The number of LinkedIn posts, TikTok videos, YouTube tutorials, and online courses I have seen about how to use these tools to do anything from creating blog posts to setting up a fully functioning startup in minutes, is mind-blowing.

It’s true, generative AI tools will make a lot of tasks easier, but if someone thinks that it will help them shine or stand out in any way, they are wrong. Here are three main reasons why.
